Welcome to my Studio! Here is where I do my most of my thinking and working. I work on my jewelry and body adornment line, We Are Here. I also work on custom projects for clients which is my favorite! I love doing custom work for people because I get to know a little bit about them, why they’re making this piece of jewelry and I get to be part of the process. Another thing I do while making work in my studio is think about food…all day long. Seriously! When I work I day dream about what I’m going to make for dinner…usually send my boyfriend Ben an email around lunch time of what I’m craving, and by 5pm I have some recipes lined up. Today I’m craving tacos…we LOVE taco night! For our anniversary I made us Taco holders which I posted. My biggest complaint about easting a taco is that you can’t put it down once you take your first bite! Here’s an awesome recipe for flour tortillas, and if you have leftover, you can make egg wraps in the morning or a wrap for lunch. Salud!
Cooking Time: 10 min
Prep Time: 20 min
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 TBSP baking powder
- add 1/3 cup oil
- about 1 1/4 c lukewarm water
3 c. flour
1 tsp salt
1 TBSP baking powder
add 1/3 cup oil.
Mix with fingers until blended (this is the key in good tortillas)
Add about 1 1/4 c lukewarm water, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Knead smooth on a floured board and shape into a ball.
Let it rest for about 10 to 15 minutes or until it loosens up.
Form into 12 balls and roll out into a thin circle.
Cook quickly on a hot ungreased griddle.
