I really hate throwing out my fresh herbs — especially in the winter time when you buy fresh herbs from markets and aren’t growing them yourself and picking them right from the ground. I never finish them all unless I’m cooking a big dinner! I found this awesome tip to make your own frozen herb cubes so you don’t have to waste them —
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh herbs (cilantro, parsley, basil, etc.)
- 2-3 Tbls olive oil
In a chopper or food processor, chop herbs until fine.
Add olive oil and pulse until combined.
Spoon into ice cube trays.
Freeze overnight, then transfer to ziploc bags. Don’t forget to label them!
