This hands-on workshop introduces participants to creating intricate watercolor gems and minerals. After learning about various watercolor techniques and Color Theory, workshop participants will have the opportunity to paint their own Gems and Minerals in Watercolor using high quality paints and materials. This workshop is designed with every type of learner and skill level in mind. Each participant is provided with hands-on instruction, handouts with step by step guidance, an array of reference imagery and materials, as well as techniques for easy image transfers. This workshop offers not only the experience of painting something beautiful but reinforces a mindful and restorative approach to creating art.

Hillary Broder is a seasoned fine artist and art educator with over 15 years of experience. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Arts in Art Education from Adelphi University. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions across New York State and is held in private collections nationwide.
In addition to her personal artistic practice, Hillary founded HB Studio, a platform dedicated to offering fine art workshops for adults. At HB Studio, she fosters an environment where individuals of all skill levels can explore their creativity and develop their artistic abilities. Hillary feels strongly about cultivating an environment that reinforces a mindful and restorative approach to creating in general.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Hillary enjoys gardening, strong coffee, and feeding chipmunks.
