My Basic Ring Class is a great one to start with and familiarize yourself with the tools and material. There's a tool list so that you'll know exactly what you need, and you can use any color or shape ring blank. If you don't have a round one – just file it more!

My biggest tips for making a basic ring:
Do the same project over again from start to finish several times - and take notes! I like to write down observations and measurements as I go, so I can go back and review things.

Each time you'll get more comfortable with the tools, material and steps of the project. The best way to really hone your skills in wax carving is repetition. Put some tunes on or turn on a podcast and get lost in the process.
