Learn how to make a tube setting for a faceted gemstone in wax and set it in metal in this intermediate level class. A tube setting is a bezel setting for small, faceted round stones and is a great technique to add to your designs.
I'll go over how to select your wax, measure your stone and carve the seat. I demonstrate how to carve a ring with a setting, but you can use this technique for many different types of wax carving projects to be cast into metal. The second video included in this class shows how to set the stone once cast in metal.
