Learn how to create both a bezel and prong setting for a faceted gemstone use hard carving wax and an electric wax pen in this intermediate level class. I'll go over how to use the electric wax pen and the different parts of a faceted gemstone. I'll demonstrate how to measure, select wax, and how to create a perfect, clean seat to make both a bezel setting or prong setting in wax to be cast into metal. This project should be done with a stone that can take high heat which I will go over in the class.
