Discover the magic of water casting in this one-day jewelry making workshop. Water casting is an experimental and free-form casting technique that transforms molten metal into beautifully organic shapes and textures as it meets water. No two pieces are ever alike.
In this hands-on class, you'll learn the fundamentals of water casting and create your own unique cast elements. You'll then transform your pieces into finished jewelry by learning essential fabrication techniques including soldering, shaping, finishing, and polishing. By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with one or more completed pieces such as earrings, rings, pendants, or bracelets.
All tools, materials, and safety equipment are provided. This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as students with some jewelry-making experience who are looking to explore a more experimental approach to metalwork.
